fisker about the new SK

1
Recently it was announced that the new SK.swe resurrects. In the team we could see, aside from Snajdan, four players who earlier had left, or got kicked, from NiP. There is a lot of hot feelings between the top clans in Sweden at the moment, and foremost between NiP and SK. This is something that we talk about in this interview with one of the stars of the new SK – fisker!
SK.swe's new line-up is, for those of you who have forgotten it:

  • vilden

  • SpawN

  • ahl

  • Snajdan

  • fisker

Ahoy fisker! The day before yesterday it was confirmed that you guys will create the new SK.swe team, spontaneous thoughts and feelings?

Very, very nice I must say, to be back with these guys is what I've dreamt of since I got kicked.

Yes, about that kick... What was it all about that lead you to leave NiP?

I got put as the seventh player when four in the team wanted me as the sixth player. What had been told from the beginning was that everything would be a team decision, and I don't consider that to be a team decision. I felt that this was enough, because I wanted to continue playing on a high level.

How did the whole NoA thing come about?

Yeah, there I was without organisation or team, I took a break from CS for perhaps a month and a half before XeqtR messaged me and wanted me to join them.

Although, It didn't become much more than just that. Why did you leave? Was it your present team mates that pulled you away from NoA?

Me and ahl are good friends since years back. About a week before I would travel to WEG he told me that there were some domestic troubles in NiP and that they wouldn't stay if it continued the way it did. After perhaps two days he told me that ahl, Hyper, vilden and SpawN had resigned and wanted to start something new on their own.

I really didn't want to damage NoA's situation, but I would've damaged more for them if I would've come with them to Korea with my mind somewhere else. I belong with these guys and I don't want to play with someone else.

What do you think about the concept of playing in a clan like NoA where you cannot play between the events?

I guess it was a little because of that I rather play with the SK guys, I wanted a bootcamp before WEG when some people in the team had other things on their schedule. We would've gone their unprepared, with just one week of play. Earlier I've played with HeatoN and Potti who really are competitive and scrims all the time. If you're used to a concept like that it isn't so appealing to go to Korea without any practise.

Theories about a resurrection of 2easy appeared after the multiresignation from NiP, were there any thoughts about that? How did SK came to the picture?

I don't know how that 2easy thing came on the table, I guess everybody believed in e-truth. That was however not our intentions. In SK some of us already have made a name in, also they offer the best and safest things. I contacted SK and asked if they were interested in a new team and so they were.

Many are surprised not to see Hyper in team, what happend to him?

He wants to take a break over the summer, he felt CS took a little too much time. A Hyper in heat when the ladies appear with skirts isn't something he refuses. ;)

Could there be any chance of you taking him back into the team after the summer?

I don't know how his motivation to CS is or how it will be after the summer, you never know what will happen. But as it looks right now we won't switch anyone for quite some time.

How did you speculate when you chose successor to Hyper? How did Snajdan come to the picture, and why him of all people?

He plays alot of CS, he's really really good, he's nuts in the head – what more could you ask for in a team-mate? Why we chose him is because he's one of the best players out there!

Has Snajdan managed to join your team-play yet? How does the team-play feel this far?

Our team-play is at the baby-stage at the moment so if I should express our team-play it'll be like, poo.

When should you then be ready to fight the world elite?

I guess you'll never be enough ready, but before we can expect really well placings we have to wait a month or two. We'll do the best of the situation, however, and give everything we got to place as high as possible!

Earlier we've seen both vilden and Snajdan take the in-game leader role in their earlier clans. Who will take that role in SK.swe?

Vilden is our main in-game leader, Snajdan sometimes helps him out with some of his Gothenburgian tactics.

Speaking of Snajdan and Gothenburg – earlier in SK you sat at Inferno-Online in Stockholm and played, what will you do now when one of you don't live in Stockholm?

Vilden lives in Jönköping so there's two that don't live in Stockholm. Me, SpawN and ahl will sit at Inferno-Online, however, as much as possible since there will be more serious and more efficiant practice from there. As usual we will have bootcamps before each event when everybody hoard up and play at LAN.

Back to the SK organisation. It seemed as there weren't all happy faces when you left the organisation. How does it then feel to come back?

No, there weren't too many happy faces when we left SK, but we have solved it now in a good way by compromising with each other. In that way you get away from the talking behind the back and things like that. To me it feels like coming back home!

Have you already signed contracts? If so, for how long will you be contracted?

Yes, we have signed for SK and they go to the end of the year.

Doesn't it feel like it could appear some problems for SK to have two teams? You can only have one team at the CPL for instance...

We'll just simply see how we play, I can't answer that at the moment.

Compare NiP and SK's organisations, which differences do you see?

I was never really a part of NiP's organisation so I don't know much of it except that they are a bunch of experienced guys in the top. A difference I see is that the NiP organisation isn't that initiated in the CS scene and how it works.

Obviously it didn't work out for the old NiP team, why is that so you think? What tells us that this negative trend won't live on in SK.swe?

The players didn't have fun when they played, a team can't just work on the field to be good. You must work just as good, if not better, outside of the field to make it work. The negative trend will not live on in SK.swe because we're more open to eachother, and if something bothers someone he'll tell the others instead of it building up to something that could result in that person getting tired or leaving.

What is your take on the whole thing about NiP stopping you from playing at the ESWC qualifier?

I think it was a really cowardly decision, to stop them instead of solving it in a nice way. As I said earlier in the interview, when four people want something and one person wants something else, and that single person gets what he wants, then I think something is really wrong.

How is your relation with NiP (perhaps foremost HeatoN and Potti) today?

As everybody have understood I have lost all respect for HeatoN and I don't want to have anything to do with him. It's really bad that a person that you liked and have been friends with for 2-2½ years can just turn his back so quickly. I have nothing against Potti, he's a good guy and I hope he doesn't have anything against me. The only positive thing I've learned is that you shouldn't trust anyone but yourself, and thats a tip I give to all young gamers who wants to be something!

As we all know, NiP has reloaded since you left, and with results, already with a ESWC ticket booked. What do you think about the new NiP? Will they succeed with the things the old team couldn't?

They have a really strong lineup so they will do good, I'm sure of that. The CS scene today is very up-and-down so it could go either way. In the old time there were 5-6 teams that could take that first spot, today there are like 20 teams that could have a chance of taking a place in the top.

Many people is dreaming of a thrilling match between NiP and you in SK. Do you feel any rivalry between you and NiP about the top spots in Sweden?

Rivalry? That's a really downy description of how it is between us. I'm really looking forward to that match and I think they feel the same.

The CS elite of Sweden is more magnificant and uncertain than ever, and there will be really exciting to see what the clans can do. But which clans are the best? Rank top 5 in Sweden!

Haha, it isn't a good idea to ask me who has been home and practising the sofa-lying-muscle for a half month. To be honest I don't know which clans that are in the top right now.

Okay, back to your clan! How does your schedule look like for the nearest future? Any planned events?

We practise alot now and will start a bootcamp today. Where ever we'll go, only future could tell.

If we take just the training schedule, how much will you play every day?

We'll start around 17.00 by talking some tactics, and later some PCW's 18.00, 20.00 and 22.00. After that there's individual training, which usually is aim_map, CB and public.

Is there anything you feel you have to say before we shut this interview off?

Oh, yes! As in my earlier interviews I'd like to thank SK, the Sponsors, Inferno-Online and the boys in the team for this chance to play fun CS on a high level! Then to all you amateures at the so called "ballgrabbing", check this out! www.users.se/craxer/fiskershand (thanks to craxer!)

Thanks a bunch for the interview, good luck with the team!

Thanks to you too, have a nice summer! ;)
